Well, Obama did say it is our duty to look after their widows and 3 year old orphans.
It looks like the jihadists took the "orphan" part seriously but just jumped the gun a bit on the age.

I would assume it may have been easier to bring the Mrs. here if they had a baby or were having a baby. The child was a means to the end.

The baby is eligible for social security survivor benefits - IIRC until age 21 if he/she attends college, or 18 if not. The state of California and the federal government, the same entities brutally attacked, will now pay to support this child for the next 21 years, from foster care to medical expenses. Quite the parting ‘shot’ from mommy dearest.
