How cool, so when someone is breaking in your door or assaulting you in your home is there a provision in the law for the victim to call “time out” so that they can get their weapon, unlock it and load it so that they can actually defend themselves?
I ended up getting a pistol safe - next to the bed. It takes an extra two seconds. Of course the dog will have been barking before the bad guy even gets to the house. I bought it on my own decision based on my own situation - the government doesn’t need to get involved.
During the day I carry it. I wonder if the lock law considers that?
“So you say that it is in a holster on your hip most of the day?”
“yes.”
“Do you ever use it.”
“No. Not yet, except for practice.”
“So, you don’t use it, it sits in the holster all day - that sounds a lot like you’re just storing it. Does it have a lock on it while it is in the holster?”
