I am totally at a loss there. The kids were never taught recent history. Never taught Adam Smith. Never taught about the Berlin Wall Coming Down. And so on.

The are totally in the present with everything !

There's no reflecting, no research, no thinking.

They see the here and now, and apply it to their situation as it is cause and effect.
