I hardly expect the Superbowl to be a Christian event. The Superbowl is exactly what it is intended to be: a raw expression of human efforts and emotion apart from Christ. The Crucified One is not found where pride, self-righteousness, self-determination, and self-motivation are in play. He is, in fact, the antithesis of any “Superbowl.”
I suppose we can write and wring our hands over a sporting event intent on pleasuring itself with anything and everything that sates the appetites, but that is not what a disciple is enjoined to do.
I just needed to bring awareness to the subject. I never thought we’d see a Super Bowl with such a strong and blatant pro-homosexual message.
