When Coldplay was on their first song and the lead singer, Chris Martin, was on his knees shaking fans hands, people were wiping his face with rainbow handkerchiefs.

It was gay, gay, gay.

They should be called Coldgay.

The colors and ‘believe in love’ we’re just as likely an ode to the history of San Francisco it was a salute to gay pride. 1967 was called the Summer OF LOVE...because 100,000 hippies took over the Haight Ashbury district of the city.i The colors I saw at half time and the style of the show reminded me of those psychodelic days. Even the part where some of the field performers were twirling umbrellas that looked like flower petals seemed to be a reference to the hit song of 67 from SF. ‘Flowers in her hair’. Are you going to San Francisco....

I was much more appalled by Beyonce’s salute to the Black Panthers
