GM does make good products, but the point is that you paid for your vehicle, then you get to pay for their financial screw-ups through your tax dollars. You are not having to fund Ford because they did not take the bailout money.
If anything, you have a case that GM owes you a credit on a new truck. But don’t hold your breath.

Yes, and I’m happy to see some info coming from different sources. Mark Modica has been warning about the finagling of GM for several years and his warnings are proving out. GM has been less than forthcoming on these matters and has been painting a rosy picture.

Oh, I wasn’t going to buy from them after they back stabbed Saturn div, probably under union pressure. But in 2011 they were practically giving them away. $28k out the door with off road and tow package (Z71). And I’ve been at that dealership for going on 25 years now.
Pretty sure that truck is the last new vehicle I’ll ever buy, too much nanny G access in the latest.
