They all have cracks. I guess someone will have to ‘go there’ to find out which way the glacier is facing.

I dated a much older woman once. My friends accused me of carbon dating.

Hey Robert, how about those Aggies beating Vandy today? We watched them get trounced here in Nashville last month, so it was nice to see it go the other way.

Some years ago I was a faithful member of AAAS, whose flagship magazine Science was a respected journal. I quit when the direction of that society was taken over by a clique whose signal cause was "Women's Mathematics", as if there could be two different sorts of mathematics depending on personal plumbing.

This is mind-rot. They tip their hand here:

the relationships among gender, science, and glaciers – particularly related to epistemological questions about the production of glaciological knowledge – remain understudied.

Glaciers actually have nothing to do with this. What is suggested is that epistemology - the study of how things are considered true - needs to be bent to the notion that measures of truth depend on, well, on one's personal plumbing, contrary to every basic tenet of science running back at least to the ancient Greeks. One might think, for example, that a measure of ice thickness that steadily increases over centuries might not depend on the observer's genitalia, largely because a woman and a man have identical methods of using a ruler. One would find that notion not only to be incorrect according to these idiots, but bigoted in its very expression.

This is not science, it is not cognizant of scientific method, it is a rejection of the former in preference to the primacy of social and political fantasy. These are not intellectuals, they are barbarians. This grant application, if it is even real, and it's so over the top that one might suspect satire if there weren't so much like it around - this app belongs in the bottom of a very deep trash can, and its signators on the end of a very long unemployment line.
