Are these kids for real?
The whining, spoiled, overly-entitled, coddled Snowflake Generation has struck again.
As reported in the media yesterday..
The president of Emory University has met with 40 to 50 student demonstrators who said they were concerned and frightened after someone wrote Trump 2016 in chalk on campus sidewalks and some buildings.
Sounds like a real crime, Trump 2016 written in chalk, imagine that. Thats just awful.
To quote Gunnery Sergeant in Full Metal Jacket, What is their major malfunction?
Jim Wagner, president of the elite Atlanta university, wrote Tuesday that the students viewed the messages as intimidation, and they voiced genuine concern and pain as a result.
Emory on Wednesday provided The Associated Press with a copy of Wagners letter, in which he said students confronted by Trumps name in chalk heard a message about values regarding diversity and respect that clash with Emorys own.
Emorys student newspaper, The Wheel, reported that the students this week chanted, You are not listening! Come speak to us, we are in pain! shortly before Wagner agreed to meet with them.
Today, Emory University doubled down on the insanity by offering emergency counseling for any students in pain.
Emergency counseling? For what?
Im supposed to feel comfortable and safe, one female student said. But this man is being supported by students on our campus and our administration shows that they, by their silence, support it as well I dont deserve to feel afraid at my school.
How exactly do the chalked words Trump 2016 create fear? Perhaps the student is an illegal. Or, maybe shes just another lost soul courtesy of outrageous teacher and parent mental swaddling.
The university quickly responded in an email: By nature of the fact that for a significant portion of our student population, the messages represent particularly bigoted opinions, policies, and rhetoric directed at populations represented at Emory University, we would like to express our concern regarding the values espoused by the messages displayed, and our sympathy for the pain experienced by members of our community.
So, is Emory University admitting that theyre harboring illegal immigrants as students or employees? Apparently, in the upside down world of PC America 2016 a Presidential candidate who calls for securing the border, providing Americans with jobs and obeying the law is a racist.
The university email continued with some more 1984 psycho-babble.
It is clear to us that these statements are triggering for many of you, they continued. As a result, both College Council and the Student Government Association pledge to stand in solidarity with those communities who feel threatened by this incident and to help navigate the student body through it and the environment of distrust and unease it has created.
When meeting with students, Emory administrators promised to review footage from security cameras to try and identify the rogue Trump fan and put them through the conduct violation process.
Apparently, the First Amendment no longer exists at Emory University or for that matter at a majority of college campuses across the country, which have become virtual Soviet Zones of Occupation.
This situation would be completely laughable if it wasnt true and being taken seriously by the fragile little snowflakes enrolled in our nations universities and the equally spineless campus professors and administrators.
Twenty-five years of hovering, coddling, political correctness and incessant trophy giving have created this generation of Marxist wimps who believe that genuine free speech should be stifled at the slightest triggering of pain or negative emotion on their part.
Pain? These students need an education in what real pain is. Real pain is taking a bullet at a place called the Bulge in WWII. Real pain is shivering to death at the Frozen Chosin in Korea. Real pain is walking point in Vietnam and walking right into a VC ambush. Real pain is eating an IED in Ramadi. Real pain is getting up every day at 5 AM to go to work. Real pain is losing your job and then trying to figure out how to pay the mortgage.
These kids, these precious little snowflakes dont have a clue. They are literally lost in some kind of protective fugue state.
I cant think of a generation more deserving of a military draft. Now, that would be fun to see.
In the meantime, the lunacy will continue as long as the cowards running our colleges cater to these spoiled little brats.
Ungrateful snots. Are they moronialls? Pansies.
There is no pain. There is no angst.
There is the cynical manipulation of often complicit university officials in a calculated effort to thwart free speech.
So glad I’m not looking to hire any new college graduates.
I can hear my old man saying:
“You want to cry? I’ll give you something to really cry about.”
‘Generation Snowflake’...what a complete loss.
Now THAT’S funny
When I worked for the biggest liberal foundation in the 80s in NYC (it’s what made me a conservative) we had problems like this from the unpaid interns from places like Rutgers, Princeton, etc. Snowflakes Exraordinaire. They saw racism under every desk. One even took her complaints to the President (a black man) and he threw her out of his office. They made life hell, in particular, for the working-class people: the secretaries, the mail room guys, the receptionists and the supply guys. They always targeted them, never the program officers or the executive wing. Couldn’t wait to get away from them. Dangerous people.
It has been said that members of their marching band have refused to pick up their trumpets because of the fright and pain of being so close to the word “TRUMPet”...
They are like the Knights Who Say Ni!
Knight of Ni: Firstly, you must find....
ANOTHER SHRUBBERY!!!
(minor music)
Arthur: Not *another* shrubbery!!
Knight of Ni: (excitedly) THEN... Then, when you have found the shrubbery,
you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly
higher, so we get the two-level effect with a little path
running down the middle.
Other Knights of Ni: A path! A path! A path! Shh, shhh. Ni! Ni!
Knight of Ni: Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must cut down the
mightiest tree in the forest...
Wiiiiiithh.... A HERRING!
(minor music)
Arthur: We shall do no such thing!
Knight of Ni: Oh, please!
Arthur: Cut down a tree with a herring? It can’t be done!
Knights of Ni: AAugh! AAAAAH! Oww!! (writhe in pain)
Knight of Ni: Don’t say that word!
Arthur: What word?
Knight of Ni: I cannot tell; suffice to say, it is one of the words the
Knights of Ni cannot hear!
Arthur: How we *not* say the word if you don’t tell us what it is?!
(Knights of Ni are in pain again)
Knight of Ni: Ahhhh! ‘E said it again!
Arthur: What, “is”?
Knight of Ni: No, not “is”! You wouldn’t get very far in life not saying
“is”!
Bedevere: My liege! It’s Sir Robin!
Sir Robin and his minstrels “ride” up.
Minstrels (singing): He’s sacking it in, and packing it up,
and sneaking away, and buggering up,
And chickening out, and pissing a pole...
Arthur: Sir Robin!
Robin: My liege! It’s good to see you!
Knight of Ni: Now *’e* said the word!
Arthur: Surely you’ve not given up the quest for the Holy Grail!
Minstrels, by way of answering:
He’s sneaking away, and buggering up,
Robin: Shut Up!
No no, no, far from it!
Knight of Ni: ‘E said the word again!
Robin: ...I was...looking for it...
Knights of Ni: AAAAAAAuugh!
Robin: uh, here—here in this...forest.
Arthur: No, it is far from this place.
Knight of Ni: Aaaaaaugh! Stop saying the word!!!!
Arthur: (getting really annoyed with the Knights of Ni) OH, STOP IT!!
Knight of Ni: Ow! He said it again!
Arthur: Patsy! (motions all of his party to move on)
Knight of Ni: Wait! I said it! I said it!
Oh! I’ve said it again!
And there again...that’s three its!
Arthur, Bedevere, and Sir Robin ride off with the minstrels and Patsy.
The solution to this is the simple, “If you don't like it here leave.”
Or , if you think it’s tough here, wait until we ship your sorry asses off to the recruiting station. .
/S
Perfect solution. We didn’t like Red Hampshire, so we left. Works like a charm. :-)
Sounds familiar...Mine used to ask the same thing almost verbatim...
Must be a generational thing...
I held both in the balance but the death taxes were similar so I went north.
This isn’t pain, it’s aggression. The left has weaponized fake pain and uses it to gain allies in an attempt to silence their enemies.
