I’m just not buying the idea that, because Cruz parrot the demanded line, that he’s somehow “guilty.” To his detractors, no statement would mollify them. They’re convinced of Cruz’ supposed infidelity because they WANT to believe it.
This story has no basis whatsoever; had there been some measure of veracity to it, the media would be chewing Cruz up. Even pro-Trump outlets such as Drudge Report won’t touch it.

If Bernie Sanders admitted he cheated— it would not mean anything, it is possible his numbers would go up very slightly— if Cruz admits it— he may lose 5-8 percent would be my guess, because his base consists more of the Huckabee evangelical crowd...
