I opened that expecting to be skeptical on the conclusion.

After reading it, I am not.

I’ve read some interesting arguments, and this was another.

Cruz does seem to have a real problem.

I am very anti-Cruz. None the less, if I were an ardent Cruz supporter, this would cause me to at least wonder how this will all turn out.

The “no dual citizenship” part seemed compelling.

The “no dual citizenship” part seemed compelling

It's the nail in the coffin, and the key to the question. His mother was on the voting rolls, which means she had to renounce her American citizenship, since they did not recognize dual citizenship.
