Trump just got BAD news, could COST him nomination(Allen West's blog)

While Donald Trump continues to lead in delegate count, this week has not been his in terms of momentum. The GOP frontrunner was handed a resounding defeat in Wisconsin, where rival Ted Cruz beat him 48.2% to 35.1%. Now all eyes have turned to New York, the next primary in the nominating contest, with 95 delegates at stake — where Trump currently enjoys a commanding 56% to 22% lead over Cruz in the latest poll.

But even before the New York primary in a couple weeks, Trump may be precluded from reaching the required 1,237 delegates before the Republican National Convention, given what’s rather quietly happening in Colorado as we speak. As The Washington Post wrote of the Colorado delegates:

But if the Republican presidential race between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is decided by just a handful of delegates, what happens in Colorado this weekend might matter most of all.

Nate Silver goes so far as to suggest that if Trump gets shut out in Colorado this weekend, he will definitely fall short of the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the convention. And that, of course, would leave him vulnerable to the workings of the GOP convention, which many — including Trump supporters — fear could quash his chances of walking away as the nominee.

Many observers — and the Trump campaign itself — don’t expect Trump to do well in Colorado.

Based on what happened in the first two district contests, it is expected that Ted Cruz will sweep the 34 Colorado delegates being selected at the district and state assemblies. The remaining three delegates are the members of the Republican National Committee from Colorado and can remain unbound.

As of Friday afternoon, Cruz has dominated the first five contests in Colorado, while Trump and Kasich remain empty-handed. While neither candidate will make the trip to Colorado this weekend, both Trump and Kasich are putting more focus on the state convention’s weekend proceedings, in an attempt to nab some delegates before it’s over.

While this contest is likely to garner a small fraction of the coverage the upcoming New York primary will get, it’s on its way to quietly tipping the scales further toward a contested convention.

So you’re in favor of restricting those who run for office to politicians who know the game. That’s hardly what the Founding Fathers had in mind. They wanted people, regular working type people, not career politicians.

They need to be sent some motivation for flipping back...
or dropping out.
BTW, did Trump shut TEDDY out in Michigan today... where did I see that?

You gotta post the best part 2DV

Trump claims that his supporters sent 1 million postcards to the RNC. Uh yeah. That would take a lot of effort and work, not to mention it would have cost Trump a pretty penny. But did it happen? The postcards had the wrong address on them. Turns out the GOP’s website lists 310 First St. SE as its address, not 301. The address printed on those alleged one million postcards would have ended up dumped in a pile at the intersection next to the Capitol South Metro stop.

HAHAHA

Who is “restricting” anyone? If you were playing in a golf or tennis tournament, wouldn’t you learn the rules beforehand? Don’t blame Ted Cruz for the lack of preparation by Don Trump.

>Perhaps some or more attention should be lasered in on the traitorous delegates themselves.

I agree. How did the founding fathers deal with people who betrayed their voters?

Cruz is working the system cause he knows how it works

yes and he has hired the dreaded washington cartel he raved against for months... to help him work it even more efficiently!

some may think that demonstrates he is really qualified.
whereas the rest of us think that makes him really crooked and slithering like “The Snake”

Sorry, but the incompetent Trump organization should have organized Colorado Republican Trump supporters to actually SHOW UP AT THE COLORADO CONVENTIONS TO SUPPORT TRUMP. They were eligible to do that just as Cruz supporters were eligible. So don’t blame Trump supporters (who defeated GOPe types to be delegates — doing THAT work that benefits both Cruz & Trump) for their successes; blame the “sick, lame & lazy” Trump staffers for their ineptness & their neglect.

I only see about five states where the delegates are "unbound"

It’s insider baseball from your outsider candidate, right.

Ted Cruz has planned all along to use “rules” and “processes” to override the people’s vote. Try to defend it if you will but it’s pure political backroom deals. Ted planned this because he knows and has always known that he could never ever win the nomination, the general, or any other election where the majority of voters matter.

I know when the president is dealing with Russia and China...winning will involve more than a straight vote. There will be games and subtexts, overt and covert strategies, and every other form of influence on outcomes.

This is just a test, and clearly one set of voters think in a single line, and others can see plans within plans. Trump supporters are not following this as a presidential trial to see who can WIN.

And one of the things about asserting someone took your ball is whether or not you can take it back yourself without whining about the outcome. At this level, there really is not much recourse to a loser.

He stole my delegates...take em back if you’re man enough...LOL. And there are other unspoken traps, so beware.

Tar and feathers was frequently fatal... and was often coupled with riding the rail.

Hanging was always fatal.

Riding out of town on the rail was a lot like being impaled and it did no permanent damage... as long as it was not coupled with coverage with boiling tar and a coating of feathers.

But those were all mob justice.
There should be some form of carrot and stick that could “persuade” traitors in this delegate matter to reconsider their actions.

Maybe Manafort has a few useful ideas.
I hear he has friends who have done this stuff before... maybe we need him to expand the team...

Well a fair football team who loves this country would quit the race at halftime so Trump can save the country, Trump using the same great leadership and organization skills that his campaign has been showing in rounding up delegates.

Until Trump came along I had no idea what a corrupt party the GOP was. Yes I mean the GOPe but for all practical purposes the GOPe is the GOP.
