This issue is totally dependent on the location of the VA facility. I am a retired military veteran with a disability (not bad by the way) and have experience at the VA hospitals in Hampton Roads VA, Tampa, FL, St Petersburg, FL and now at Little Rock, AR. I have never experienced any problems with appointments or wait times at any of these hospitals. I must be one lucky SOB. I see several specialists by the way not just a Family Practice type MD.
Amen to that — VA Palo Alto has been fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for better care. I’m blessed to live in their region.
