[September 4, 2012] REAL Cherokee Indians Respond With DISGUST To Elizabeth Warren
2012 Massachusetts GOP Video via The Federalist Papers ^ | September 4, 2012 | Massachusetts GOP Video

American Indians will be silent no more.

They’re calling out Elizabeth Warren and her preposterous claim that she’s “Native American.”

The uber-liberal Massachusetts senator claims she’s an Indian – 1/32 Cherokee to be exact. She’s never provided any documentation or proof of that ancestry. She’s not a member of any band of Cherokee, nor could she be.

Still, she’s used the nonsense claim to her political and professional advantage.

In the 1990s, while Warren was teaching at Harvard, she was granted tenure partly because of her claim of “Indian roots” and the college’s effort to boost their diversity hiring record.

And between 1985 and 1996, she listed herself as a “minority” in a directory of law professors. Asked about this, Warren said she listed herself as a minority because she wanted to connect with “people for whom native American is part of their heritage and part of their hearts.”

Even when given a chance to admit that she’s lying, she gives these bizarre, rambling – and offensive – responses, like this one recently where she talked about “high cheekbones.”

“I have lived in a family that has talked about Native America, talked about tribes, since I’ve been a little girl,” she said. “I still have a picture on my mantle at home, and it’s a picture of my mother’s dad, a picture of my grandfather, and my Aunt Bee has walked by that picture at least a 1000 times, remarked that her father, my Pappa, had high cheekbones, like all of the Indians do, because that’s how she saw it, and your mother got those same great cheekbones, and I didn’t. And she though this was the bad deal she had gotten in life. Being Native American has been a part of my story, I guess since the day I was born, I don’t know any other way to describe it.”

Well, the Cherokee Indian tribe has had enough.

In a video – released by the Massachusetts Republican Party – real Cherokees speak out about Warren’s idiotic claim that she’s Indian.

It’s a scathing indictment against the woman that Donald Trump and others call “Fauxcahontas” or “Lieawatha.”

On the off chance that Hillary picks Warren as her running mate, expect to hear a lot more about this.

"I’m more Cherokee than she is.
What do I get?
"

Yep. We have the satisfaction of knowing that we finally have the invaders surrounded. We are the invaders, too, though, so we're also surrounded. I haven't figured out what to do about that.

Where are the Indians? Look around. We're in the eyes of many Americans of long descent.

Personally, I favor autochthones. It has fewer connotations attached to it than the other candidates.

Not only real Indians, real Americans also respond to Warren in disgust.

Yet Harvard did not fire her after her fraud was discovered, and most Democrats seem to have no problem with it.

I think she should make amends by devoting her remaining years to scrubbing toilets on an Indian reservation.

Me too. I’m actually half Cherokee but I never saw the need to apply for college or anything else as a minority. High cheekbones...ugh!

Then they keep telling us to, “Check your white privilege.”

I’m thinking of writing a song to be titled I AIN’T GOT NO WHITE PRIVILEGE AND I CAN’T GET NO WHITE PRIVILEGE, AIN’T NOBODY SEEN NONE ROUND HERE SINCE 1963.

Because of the differing manner in which Eastern and Western Cherokees trace their genealogy and blood quantum (Eastern is through the maternal line, Western is through both the paternal and maternal lines), it was possible to slip through this anomaly, and hope that nobody would ever call out Elizabeth Warren on it. Almost all the “faux Indians” claim to be some degree of Cherokee ancestry, as it is one of the harder ones to disprove, because of this dichotomy. And besides, “Cherokee” sounds so mainstream Native American. The very word “Cherokee” is not even their own language, it was the Creek Indian word for “people who live in caves”.

American Aboriginals, maybe Amoriginals or Ambos for short and to avoid confusion with Australian natives, could work. Personally, anytime I refer to my “Ambo” ancestry I use the names of the two tribes, Cherokee on my father’s side and Lenape (Delaware) on my mom’s. It’s akin to identifying the specific strain of European DNA and national identity nestling in my cells. We don’t say “European-American”. We say our ancestry is German, English, Italian, Swedish, whatever. So mine’s Cherokee and Lenape (and Scottish, Irish, German, English, and a light Jewish touch on Mom’s side). And all of them consider Warren a lying c@#+.

The Indians were Jewish, like me - I saw them talking Yiddish in “Blazing Saddles.” My family has talked about it for years. Can I get my Indian card now?

Seriously, someone ought to demand that she get a genetic test to see whether she has been lying or not. It’s $100 to do this, she can afford it.
