Because unlike most of our pols, the media don't intimidate him because Hannan doesn't run from a fight if one comes up. One did and he took care of business, holding fast to his position.
We need him as Speaker of the House. You can bet there wouldn't be a sit-in, catered or otherwise on his watch.
