By the way, this guy was kicked out of his position by more conservative Republicans and he’s been butt hurt ever since.

“Clowns like this when they speak you can count on the Chicago Tribune’s hand up their backside manipulating their jaws like a puppet show.”

Yes, and include the Chicago ‘Slum-Times’ and local alphabet news media.

My pleasure. I personally believe that the freedom, self-determinism, opportunity, and well-being of the public is not much on the mind of many, if not most politicians.

This is a perfect example of what is wrong with ILL-ANNOY, and why we have "The Combine" uni-party. There is an attitude of Stockholm Syndrome by the failed Illinois Republicans having been held hostage by Speaker Madigan for 40 years. They work with him by employing his law firm to help Republicans and others avoid property tax. Madigan has cowed them into dark corners to the point that we now have a piece of legislation which calls for a Governor-appointed Islamic Council which will soon be signed by Republican Governor Bruce Rauner. MANY Republicans voted in favor of the Islamic Council.

ILL-ANNOY is a failed state, banana republic in the midwest, and a microcosm of all that is wrong when compromise of principles has led to iron-fisted rule of the Democrats with Republican subjugation.

You would think that Governor Rauner, the rich businessman, friend of many Democrats, never-held-political-office outsider, man of ideas would be a YUGE supporter of Donald J. Trump, the rich businessman, friend of many Democrats, never-held-political-office outsider, man of ideas. But NO. Rauner HATES Trump leading one to believe that 'Republican' Governor Rauner is now the happy pivot man of The Combine circle-jerk.

One positive feature of Trump’s candidacy, is he’s smoking out all the RINOs and pseudo-conservatives.

"There are reasons why Illinois is losing population at the fastest rate of any state. He’s one example of the reasons why."

Yes, if Illinois Rats could build a wall, it would be to surround the State in order to prevent businesses from fleeing to more business friendly states such as Indiana.

Wasn’t he Roy Rogers TV sidekick. Drove a jeep named Nellie Belle.

He did indeed. Pat Brady was there for comic relief.

Watched the show religiously as a little kid a a , but never realize Nellybelle was up armored and had a gun port....even cooler Jeep than I thought.

There is not a sizable group of Republicans opting to vote Hillary. They are just more vocal than they usually are because they are the establishment of the Party. It is normally the 15% of the party that is disgusted with the establishment that votes against it.

The shoe is on the other foot and they will lose as usual. The only thing the establishment is good at is losing national elections.

Yes, Rauner is just another Rino that will be keeping the Springfield Governor’s chair warm for the next Democrat, probably little Lisa Madigan.

Rauner snubs Trump during visit to Chicago

By Angelica LaVito

07/12/16 05:30 PM EDT

CHICAGO — Gov. Bruce Rauner gave his party’s presumptive presidential nominee the cold shoulder on Tuesday.

The Republican governor announced the formation of a school funding commission at the Thompson Center while Donald Trump was in town for a fundraiser just blocks away.

Rauner instructed reporters to keep their questions focused on the commission. Some strayed off topic anyway and asked the governor why he was not joining the presumptive leader of his party. Rauner declined to comment.

“I’ve said everything I’m going to say about the presidential race,” Rauner said.

But the governor’s only public comments came in March when he told students in Wilmette that he was “horrified” by the rhetoric in the Republican presidential campaign and that “it’s ugly and it’s nasty and it’s weird.” He stopped short of mentioning Trump’s name.

That same month, he also promised to back the eventual Republican nominee, regardless of who it would be. But he has refused to formally endorse Trump, declining to lead the Illinois delegation at the GOP Convention in Cleveland. In fact, he will not attend next week’s convention at all.

On Tuesday, Rauner ignored a question about where he would be during the convention.

I live in IL and maybe I haven’t paid attention to the R party chairmen but I would have thought “Nellybelle” if anyone asked me who Pat Brady was.

If all they have is washed-up has-beens who nobody remembers, they ain’t got much!
