Sounds good, but one question: why would we need to pipe oil for domestic consumption to the Gulf Coast when there are beaucoup wells down there, already pumping billions of gallons?

So who is going to buy all that oil? We have tankers backed up in long lines out in the ocean waiting for the right price or before it becomes too expensive to sit out there.

We are in an economic depression and demand is way down.
