I would like colleges and universities to adopt more work/study programs. So it takes 5 - 6 years to get a degree. The individual will come out with minimal or no debt, the satisfaction of knowing they paid for their degree, and some experience.

This has been a huge success for several decades at Drexel U. in Philly.

Currently, it's almost impossible to find a work study candidate who will actually WORK during the time they're supposed to. Most just want a paid position where they can sit in a quiet place, do their homework, and get paid for it. They act like it's a huge imposition for them to have to do something to earn the money they're paid.
