Bill Weld is a flat-out RINO at heart, although technically I guess he’s now a LINO.
Both Johnson and Weld are pro abortion, which means their political philosophy is that they are psychopathic killers. Neither one is fit to hold any public office.
No one who is a member of Western Civilization will consider voting for them for an instant.
Anyone who has followed Weld’s career knows he is far from Libertarian. It would be difficult to distinguish his positions from Hillary’s.
I campaigned for John Hosper and have been in and out of the LP. LP members and candidates tend to be selective libertarian on their pet issues.
They focus on one issue. Sometimes drugs. or the Fed. or the war in Iraq. Those libertarian on drugs are clueless on economics. And those libertarian on the Fed are clueless on drugs.
When I was in IL I checked and every single one of the hundreds of LP members I could identify voted Republican in the primary in ‘98, ‘00 and/or ‘02. So really they (we) are spoiled kids who pick up our ball and go home if we arent given the bat.
I was at a 3rd party picnic Saturday. (Not LP). It seemed they were opposed to compromising with the GOP. But they would work with and help the Green Party. So it isn’t about principle.
