There is a wood stove exchange program in the Fairbanks Northstar Borough.
It is funded primarily from the Electrical Utility, from an agreement with the EPA for them allowing us to build the last coal plant, possibly in America.
Just visited a well known stove manufacturer and the EPA has new regulations that are designed to shut them down. They come in every year, instead or every 5, and do air tight tests until they find something wrong. It is on the EPA’s list to eliminate wood stoves.
