State Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis granted a motion by Remington Arms to strike the lawsuit by the families of nine children and adults killed and a teacher who survived the Dec. 14, 2012, school attack, in which a gunman killed 20 first-graders and six educators with a Bushmaster AR-15-style rifle made by Remington.

The families were seeking to hold Remington accountable for selling what their lawyers called a semi-automatic rifle that is too dangerous for the public because it was designed as a military killing machine. Their lawyer vowed an immediate appeal of Friday's ruling....

If this lawsuit was allowed to go forward, what would have stopped the victims of drunk drivers from suing breweries, distilleries, and wineries?

Maybe even the auto manufacturers?

What make was the car the article mentions Adam Lanza used to drive to the Sandy Hook Elementary School? If he could not have driven to that school in that car, he could not have killed the children and staff members. Should not the car maker hold equal liability? After all, the auto manufacturer should know there products are inherently far more dangerous than firearms, being involved in far more deaths and injuries every year and in fact are used in far more crimes as almost every criminal has to be transported by an automobile to and from the scene of his crime.

If there is ever a Democrat congress the law prohibiting lawsuits for unlawful use of firearms will be eliminated and it will be the death of the firearms industry.

I have doubts about the whole Sandyhook thing. Has anyone who believes it was a hoax checked out the players against the Trump accusers? The whole trumped up Trump thing makes me think twice about what these people may be capable of, what they could play out as real that is actually a full blown hoax.

I know I will likely get flamed for writing this and be accused of wearing a tin foil hat, but who cannot think that with these foul, fully media backed people anything is possible, especially when it comes to getting our guns?

Company should go against the lawyers and plaintiffs for a frivolous lawsuit .... go for punitive damages, high priced lawyer costs, and law licenses.
