I would guess that it’s to make people feel involved and keep excitement up to make them think about the ground game. Get it into their frontal lobe. He has plenty of money. We all know his message. No real need to pound away at that to the supporters. So now, make people realize that this has to happen in the execution now.
And also, Trump is dynamic and fast moving. He can adjust very rapidly to a new data point. Who knows what kind of gem of information may come in from the hinterlands?
