Should Justice John Roberts Be Impeached?
11/10/2016 | Charles O'Connell

Posted on 11/10/2016 5:44:54 PM PST by CharlesOConnell

"I, John Glover Roberts Jr., do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God." - Oath of Office, September 29, 2005

Generically, an impeachment may be an inquiry into the integrity or validity of a practice, but with respect to high office holders, it seems to be an allegation or charge of official misconduct.

If Justice Roberts cast his vote under duress from the President regarding National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius (2012), the Affordable Care Act decision-if it might be imputed that he failed in his oath to 'defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies…domestic', is the matter impeachable?

Fine, but put in a solid Scalia replacement first. Don’t give the left a stretch of a 4-3 majority while replacing Roberts.

He rewrote the law and twisted himself into such a pretzel to uphold it that the liberal justices still wrote dissents even though they voted with him to impose his rewritten monstrosity on us.

I heard the guy speak and take questions in the years before Obamacare. He was learned, precise, confident, witty as hell, and as deeply conservative as anyone I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. He's not a bonehead. Maybe he's just gutless. But something got to him on Obamacare.

Something got to him on Obamacare, but he didn't make a bad ruling - only a ruling so razor sharp, everyone missed it. But technically, he supported the Constitution. The other Justices knew it, and Scalia chortled over it in his dissent. But no one dared point it out.

There are no "good" justices. They're all hiding the big secret of the corporate application of our laws. They strictly apply themselves to this secret in plain sight but refuse to acknowledge it. That's what Roberts played with, too. He ruled that Obamacare is not a tax, because Obamacare is based on the income tax, which is not a tax because you volunteer for it. That's the actual law, and if you have to volunteer for something, then it's not a tax.

That was the heart of Robert's ruling.

The reason no one "beats" the income tax is that they don't know they already supposedly volunteered for it. So all the government has to do is say you didn't do what you freely agreed to do already. That's why you start out with two strikes against you. And since you don't know that, of course, you lose. And since one ever calls the government on this fraud, there's no simple legal way you can claim you didn't volunteer. There should just be something you point to, or they point to, confirming this contractual agreement, but there's not. They just "presume" you volunteered because you reply to their threats. And the courts allow this.

But none of this matters because everyone already "knows" that it's all bullshit. And they'll keep knowing that, because it's far easier to hate Roberts, and hate the system, and curse politicians, than to actually learn how the system really works and cut the monster off with its own laws.

After all, that would take personal risk.

That leaked email does not rise to the level of evidence needed to force a Justice out

If you think that email is enough to impeach a Supreme Court Justice you need to do research to find out how many times it has happened, and the cause, and the result.

Here’s a hint
Articles of Impeachment?
ONCE
And Senate Acquitted.

Roberts, Kennedy, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan for bringing disrepute upon the court.

One has to wonder where Roberts REALLY got those adopted children now that we know a lot we never knew before particularly about the Clinton's. There's a huge black market for stolen children and teenagers to feed sicko's twisted appetites and it was happening right at the topmost positions of our own government.. Man this stuff makes you want vomit to think the there are really people getting off on this stuff...

I wonder if Roberts ever flew the Lolita Epress. It would explain much. I bet there a lot more hidden flight manifests out there with congressional member's names on them as well. I bet Epstein makes money blackmailing people with them. Wouldn't surprise me at all. It wouldn't surprise me if he had people stealing young hidden or adoption scams either.

And one more thing...that infamous debacle trying to impeach someone who signed the Declaration of Independence..lead to the right of SCOTUS to independent opinions.

Thanks for the clarification. In other words, the odious Roberts will be successfully impeached when pigs fly.

> Of course it is a tax, and the IRS penalized me for not reporting my insurance status to them! Roberts is filth, without integrity.

I've paid it two years in a row when things were very lean. I could have certainly used it for something helpful I stead of paying for a La Razan dreamer to go to school or feed her 4 kids with another one on the way....

We should be more concerned about the extreme liberals on SCOTUS.

Impeachment is a valid check on the extraConstitutional actions of the Court.

Congress really should give a tax credit to those that had to pay the fine.

I am dead serious about that
