How does anyone become this absurd?
Not that you never make fun of the Clntons. Of course you do. How can you not make fun of people who are so phony, and ham-handedly so?
But for me at least, there was never really much joy in lampooning these people while there was still the possibility that they would return to the White House, with Hillary having somehow managed to grab the power of the presidency to use for the many nefarious purposes one would expect of such a malevolent human being. Sure, she was a shieking joke. But we were staring ominously at the possibility of her becoming an awfully damn powerful joke too. I was more driven by the imperative of preventing that horror than I was to enjoy what screwballs these people are.
Until they're behind bars none of us is safe.
