It hasn’t been that way this year+ until after Trump won.
We are in our 70’s and have to have a minimum monthly/yearly deduction/payment from out IRA’s.
With minimal interest and not that great return with our mutual funds, our IRAs have gone down with the poor market, low interest and our minimal deductions.
Our hard working younger relatives with 401k’s had the best month in years. It has helped the college funds, 501’s also.
Yeah - and remember the day before the election that the Dow futures were down about 800 points? That did not last long!
