Putin is a KGB communist dictator thug thru and thru. Dont fall for his pro-Christianity front. He is not to be trusted. We should not be cozying up to him nor the Red Chinese. Not that I think Trump has any love for the Chinese. I don’t like the cozying up to the Russians. We shall see what happens.

With that said I don’t see that the R party has a Putin wing. Some of us have pointed out that it’d be nice if we had a leader who loved America the way Putin loves Russia.
I think we should cooperate with them where it serves our interest. We should oppose them where it serves our interest. And we should never, ever, turn our backs to them.
Reagan believed in trust but verify. It’s still relevant today. So yes, we should work with them against Islamic terrorism and to keep China’s territorial ambitions in check.
We should oppose the Russians when they try to make more land grabs in Europe. The whole thing with Ukraine was a travesty that a strong American president could likely have prevented.
The Russians need to understand that aggression against our Eastern European allies won’t be tolerated.
