Back in the 90s, when Rush's show was more biting satire than political commentary (does anyone remember when Rush would "abort" a caller?), round about the middle of his show, he'd say "The Rush Limbaugh program welcomes all the listeners on welfare, who are just getting out of bed".
I remember what he did it...it was funny, especially I was working 3rd shift at the time. I worked 11:30 PM to 6 am and I got up at noon...
