DETROIT (WWJ) Ford Motor Co. CEO Mark Fields says President Donald Trumps meeting with some big league business leaders was very positive.
The new president met with a group of top manufacturing leaders including Fields, Elon Musk, the head of SpaceX; Andrew Liveris, the CEO of Dow Chemical; and the executives from Dell, Johnson & Johnson and Lockheed Martin for what the Trump administration called a listening session in the in the Roosevelt Room at the White House on Monday.
Liveris told reporters following the meeting that he was impressed with how engaged the president was, explaining that Trump has given them 30 days to come up a plan for a series action to help stimulate the American manufacturing sector....

Odds are that they have their plans already drafted and ready for submission.
Curious if Jeff Immelt of GE was there...
But now he is going to business leaders and basically saying, what else can we do to help? Smart very smart!!!
Immelt and GE have sent many jobs to China and Germany....
Yep, and big DNC donors as well. GE is a company that receives a lot of government money.
Excellent cartoon.
Boom! What did obama do on his official first day? Oh he took off MB or CAIR off the terror list. Took over census and took over student loans.
What did obama do about jobs.........killed them. Wait..he gave away GM to his pals and stockholders got the shaft. Spent billions to save his pals in the union at GM. I will stop there. Wait....thru out WC statue.
Thru=threw
I hope President Trump uses more carrot, and less stick, in his approach to this issue.
He’s promised to roll back onerous federal regulations, and lower corporate taxes to help spur hiring and investment. I really hope he concentrates on those simple and effective incentives.
Ordinarily I would worry about a government -ordering or strong- arming business. But right now we so desperately need jobs - after eight years of obama sabotaging jobs and America. In due course, I trust DJT will get congress to remove the tax, trade, regulatory, and Obamacare programs and impediments that have so crippled ohr economy and chased jobs out of the country.
Phlebas the Phoenician, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of gulls, and the deep sea
A current under sea
Picked his bones in whispers. As he rose and fell
He passed the stages of his age and youth
Entering the whirlpool.

O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you.
Stop...look listen...get moving...
I also blame unions for chasing jobs out of the country HOWEVER these companies have the option to go to right to work states, if the people in NON right to work states want jobs coming to their states they can VOTE to be right to work!!!!
Great idea to cut to the heart of the matter by asking business leaders directly what they need to expand and create more jobs. When the jobs come let’s hope there are still enough people left who are willing to work after 8 years of semi-dependency under the 0bomb.
Top executives from several US based companies raved about President Trump and his initiatives after meeting with the President on his first day of work in the White House.
Andrew Liveris from Dow Chemical and Mark Fields from Ford Motor Company cheered President Trump for his promise to cut regulations by 75%.
Andrew Liveris: He’s not going to do anything to harm competitiveness. He is going to make us more competitive.
Mark Fields: Walking out of the meeting today, I know I come out with a lot of confidence. The president is very, very serious about making sure that the United States economy is going to be strong. And have policy, tax, regulatory or trade, to drive that. And I think that encourages all of us.

Top US Executives Rave About Meeting with President Trump at White House
Yes. And much of our country’s manufacturing has moved to RTW states. But if we want true prosperity throughout USA, we need sensible trade, tax, regulatory policies and we need congress to flush Obamacare
