Quick summary:

President Obama puts six month ban on Iraqi refugees in 2011 and media…. crickets.

President Trump puts 120 day suspension on Syrian refugees 2017… media explodes.

Obama selects 7 countries for enhanced visa security policy and media… crickets.

Trump uses Obama law, same Obama DHS policy, and same 7 countries; for a 90-day visa suspension and media explodes.

All that is necessary to identify a country for visa screening is to act on intelligence that their governments actively host groups who want to kill us, or that their governments are too weak or corrupt to stop such groups from sending killers to the US

Trump ordered a 90 day ban to fix the system for screening people from these countries- the 7 of which were identified by Obama presumably based on such intelligence

and the GOP can’t or won’t support this?

A couple more I can think of, not in list

March 3, 2006...Taheri-Azar is a naturalized citizen from Iran drives his SUV into a crowd on U.North Carolina campus, injuring 6.

Nov.28, 2016...Abdul Razak Ali Artan, a Somali refugee who was a legal permanent resident and student at the university. Drives car into students on OSU campus, jumps from car and attacks w/ knife.
11 injured.

IMO Pakistan and Afghanistan should be added to the list.

Why isn’t Saudi Arabia on the list?

I am hearing reports S.A. is now willing to set up refugee camps in their country. If true that may be a reason, negotiation. I would sure rather have the refugees in S.A. than here.

Since 9/11 we have not held S.A. accountable no matter who is in charge here. I hope there are good reasons we the people are not aware of. I have not always trusted our Presidents from both parties. Trump has been President for such a short time I am willing to trust him on this at least for now.

because Saudi Arabia wasn’t included in the EO written by Obama in 2015-2016 which Trump is now enforcing

Trump’s EO does not name any countries

Trump’s EO refers to an earlier EO written by obama listing nations of security concern

Trumps EO is an enforcement order of obamas EO

I confused two articles...one was about S.A. already taking refugees contrary to reports they don’t, can’t find that article but one I posted above looks like Trump and S.A. are in serious discussion about refugees having a place to go in their own countries, that sounds good to me if it happens. I can’t find the other article now.

I had to go back through my over 2,000 posts on refugee crimes, here, and pull out Islamic terror cases involving refugees. I chose ten, not for any other reason than these ten below are at the top of my mind. And, I think ten is enough to counter the disinformation campaign going on.

For good measure, I have also added (below) a few spectacular crimes involving Muslim refugees.
