Since Abrams was a NeverTrumper, I don't understand Trump's motive for the appointment, other than some kind of tit for tat at work between the President and establishmentarians in Congress.
In any case, I hope that this falls through. If people wanted recycled refuse from the Bush administration, they would have voted for Jeb.
