Activist judges like that are a threat to the whole Constitutional concept.
If they are allowed this kind of power over the federal government, it’s laws, and the president, why don’t we just toss aside the pretense that the people actually have a say in this country and let a handful of activist judges run the country, cause that’s what happens when they do this.
It makes a complete mockery of the idea of a representative republic. It’s become a sham where we only THINK we have any say in our lives, but we don’t because one or two judges can overturn it for anyone they want any time they want.
It’s so wrong on the most fundamental level.
I completely agree. Trump has to explain exactly what is going on and let the people know that liberals are playing dirty tricks here and then he has to assert the authority the people, laws and constitution has given him.
It is not yet a usurpation. It is an attempt that was surreptiously invited by President Trump. This will all fall out to the discomfiture of the judges and their leftist supporters and instigators.
My take is that Trump is way ahead on this.
By wantonly ignoring the clear & concise statute giving him the power to restrict immigration, Trump will limp-wrist this to the Supreme Court where the case will be decisively presented and the right-leaning judges will (behind closed doors) beat the dissenters into upholding the ban. The verdict will then be used as grounds to remove the lawless judges from power.
Y’all seen that ad video gone viral about an old man firing 3 shots at a target? First two look hopelessly bad, third is dead-center bullseye, turns out the first two were perfectly aligned for the 2-ring binder he keeps targets in. Methinks that’s what we’re about to see from Trump.
I hope the Republicans find their spines and impeach these tyrants in black robes who pretend to rule our country and who would places themselves over an entire nation.

title eight, chapter 12 of U.S. Code which states:
“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on entry of aliens any restrictions may deem to be appropriate.”
This is PLAIN English. You don’t need to be a lawyer to understand this.
When can the president decide to do this?
“WHENEVER” he wants to, that’s when.
“ANY” aliens or class of aliens.
How many? “ANY” number. From where? From “ANY” where.
That “the PRESIDENT” (not the courts), finds their entry “DETRIMENTAL”.
The PRESIDENT decides/is empowered to determine/find what “detrimental” is.
The PRESIDENT may do so by “PROCLAMATION”.
He only needs his own authority, again not the courts.
“for as long as HE” (THE PRESIDENT) “DEEMS” necessary”.
On HIS say so, for as long as he wants, WITHOUT LIMITATION.
Also, “...impose on entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
IF you let them in, the PRESIDENT can “IMPOSE” (force on them) “ANY” restrictions “HE” (the president) “DEEMS” “APPROPRIATE”.
Who determines what “appropriate” is? The courts? NO, THE PRESIDENT DOES.
Only in an alternate universe could any court not see that the congress gave the president ABSOLUTE power in this matter. No exclusions, No restrictions, (other than they had to be aliens (non citizens).
Charge him with Treason, or at least, impeach his sorry ass. This will continue until penalties are realized.
I voted for President. Trump to protect me—Not Judge Rofart.
The solution is simple. Remove judge and fire him. Bar him from working in the legal field and cut his pension down to 1/4 or $20k a year, which ever is smaller, See him begging for change on a street corner in Dearborn, MI this time next year.
