Were they two different types of chairs? What do you mean they took it apart?
It was the same chair. They're called transport wheelchairs and are lightweight, and can breakdown into pieces quite easily if space might be a problem. The wheels comes off the main chair, the arm rests come off. The rest will just collapse with a tug on the fabric seat.
They're not substantial and durable for use in everyday life, but for transportation from one place to another, and short term sitting, they're handy.
