The slaw is very good; but I really love the gravy they make for the mashed potatoes. Tried to do a ‘copycat’ recipe once, and it wasn’t even a shadow of the ‘real’ thing.

We are a KFC family. We tried Popeye’s a few times but those potatoes are awful.

How do they compare to Chick Fil A?

ROTFLMAO. Come on. Chick Fil A is the best of the best. The only reason that these other places are in business is because Chick Fil A is not on every street corner like the others.

I guess everything varies from place to place. I’ve been to KFC once, and was quite Unimpressed. My husband loved KFC in Pennsylvania, but when we went to one here in Maryland, he never wanted to go back. He’s a Popeye’s guy, now ;-)

Popeye’s is very good greasy chicken.
Have napkins and a toothbrush handy.

Hey, I’m not ‘fancy’ :-)

(And I’ve never found it ‘greasy’. At least, at my local, it’s just right.)

They better not mess with Popeye’s - it’s just about the only fast food I eat. Love the mild chicken.

Don’t mess with Popeye’s sides!!! I could live on their Cajun rice and coleslaw.

I’ve had bad service at two or three Popeye’s in my area. At one, the store manager was literally looking at me waiting to place my order and studiously ignoring me.

I emailed Popeye’s about the horrendous service and never got a reply.

The other day, I emailed the CEO at Chick-Fil-A regarding something and received a personal reply within the day. From him.
