And here in the U.S. foods are taken off the shelves and thrown away simply because their “sell by” date ran out..........
Have you ever seen a restaurant dumpster. Whole meals untouched. But by law, can’t be reused. Seagulls at the dump eat like kings. Maybe they should kill the well fed seagulls for food.
Back in the day, “sell by” (which has nothing to do with expiration dates) items, bread and produce was put on tables or pallets behind our grocery store for anyone to take home. Now days it’s all dumped in the garbage. You can’t even get the produce guy to give your rabbits or goats the stuff he’s throwing out. America wastes so much.
