Tucker Carlson criticized Drexel professor George Ciccariello-Maher Wednesday night on Fox, saying he "writes like a child" and is incapable of forming "a clear sentence."
Ciccariello-Maher, who said last year he wants "white genocide" "for Christmas" and the "massacre" of whites during the Haitian revolution "was a good thing indeed," told Tucker he opposes Charles Murray being allowed to speak at American universities because he's "racist" and the SPLC labeled him a "white nationalist."
Tucker countered by questioning Ciccariello-Maher's own credentials, saying he spent time reading many of his writings and found them incoherent.

Tucker quoted from an article Ciccariello-Maher's wrote in 2007 titled, "Dual Power in the Venezuelan Revolution":
"By viewing the process through the Leninist concept of 'dual power'that is, the construction of an autonomous, alternative power capable of challenging the existing state structurewe can see that the establishment of communal councils in Venezuela is clearly a positive step toward the development of fuller and deeper democracy, which is encouraging in and of itself. "
"Now, that's a sentence with too many adjectives, passive construction, imprecise language, it's high school writing -- it's crap," Tucker said.
"You're not an impressive scholar, that's what I'm saying. You're a performance artist!" Tucker said. "Your writing is childlike!"
Tucker asked Ciccariello-Maher to explain the meaning of the passage he quoted, to which Ciccariello-Maher responded: "I've done extensive studies on popular power in Venezuela, on the development of what are called 'communal councils.' I know them better than most and I know what it means to develop these participatory institutions of democracy in Venezuela."
He said he's "glad to talk about them," but instead pivoted to accusing Tucker of not understanding "basic English."

Ciccariello-Maher Never trust anyone with a hyphenated last name, and a "soul" patch.

This guy claims to have a degree from the University of Cambridge - Im calling bs on this one He does, in "Social and Political Sciences" - which are not "sciences" at all, but liberal claptrap. Almost anyone could get a MA from any university in this "field of study." Trust me.
I have several masters degrees, and I have seen the quality of many of today's students up close and personal. Many of the professors are pseudo critical thinkers, at best (and that is giving them a lot of leeway).

I’m still calling bs on this.

He must be an upper class Brit or as I suspect, a gay man who took his “husband’s” last name or a pajama boy who took his feminist wife’s last name.
To: markomalley
If he were at all serious about white genocide, he’d start with himself. He hasn’t offed himself so even he doesn’t believe a word that’s fallen from his ugly mouth.

" Autonomy of these communal councils is limited to those items which the central government wishes to not handle on its own. Much like the local soviets in Lenin's USSR.
These councils have no power even close to capable of challenging the existing state structure. To pretend otherwise is a deliberate lie on part of the professor.

As I was watching this last night, I was busy on my IPad looking up his assertions, in real time. Charles Murray DID NOT march with the KKK. Charles Murray IS NOT a Grand Wizard. This guy was spouting BS the whole time, especially when he was denigrating Tucker. I think these Lefties go on Tucker's show because they are sure they can destroy him. This idiot kept accusing Tucker of not doing his homework and suggesting Tucker should learn to use the Google search engine. WHAT A MAROON!

I'm sorry miss marmelstein - I wasn't trying to be cute or condescending. Sometimes irony doesn't translate very well through print.

I call their incoherent speech blah blah blah blah blah. Everyone on the left uses it. They say a bunch of crap, in long sentences that doesn’t mean anything.

In his essay
Politics and the English Language George Orwell points out that poor writing conceals fuzzy thinking which goes on to promote more fuzzy thinking and more poor writing. As he put it:
"...an effect can become a cause, reinforcing the original cause and producing the same effect in an intensified form, and so on indefinitely. A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks. It is rather the same thing that is happening to the English language. It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts."
