That’ll leave a mark.
It is clear that this professor does not have the ability or the desire to put together a coherent sentence.
Once upon a time a psycho leftist such as Ciccariello-Maher would be at least under medical care or confined. But today he is a professor spreading his nonsense to others.
They don’t hire professors for their skills anymore. It’s their Marxist leanings that matter.
From the profs statement: "...we can see that the establishment of communal councils in Venezuela is clearly a positive step toward the development of fuller and deeper democracy, which is encouraging in and of itself."
Tucker nailed him!!
Actually, the sample is pretty typical college-level political science writing. Meaning that it is Leftist/communist-biased in its worldview, it embeds heavy advocacy for that viewpoint, and considers the only valid analyses of these issues must be based on its decades-long processing and reprocessing of them FROM WITHIN THAT WORLDVIEW. Basically, it is an echo chamber.
Very elitist, almost clubby, its distain for outsiders.
“Oh, my dear, don’t you know that approach to democracy was discussed and dismissed as subversive, anti-progressive, bourgeois intransigence by Comrade Bulganin at the 3rd International in 1928? Tsk,tsk. You really do have a lot to learn. I honestly don’t know how you are going to do it.”
Someone who is a college Professor and openly calls for the genocide of an entire race of people thinks that someone who wrote a scholarly review of race and economics is a racist and shouldnt be allowed to speak on campus. In what universe does that make sense?
If the Marxist State Professor Ciccariello-Maher dreams of ever came to fruition he would be one of the first liquidations. I’m sure his last words would be a stunning conglomeration of complicated but nonsensical phraseology, however!
At the end of the interview when Tucker called the guy “professor”, he did it with air quotes. We couldn’t stop laughing!
I think I heard the guy, near the first part of the interview, use the word “earn” in connection with the right to have free speech. (I may be wrong.) I guess he doesn’t understand that as Americans we HAVE free speech; we don’t need to “earn” it. Typical lib — their way or the highway.
“By viewing the process through the Leninist concept of ‘dual power’that is, the construction of an autonomous, alternative power capable of challenging the existing state structurewe can see that the establishment of communal councils in Venezuela is clearly a positive step toward the development of fuller and deeper democracy, which is encouraging in and of itself. “
Very insecure leftists write this way to try to impress other leftists with how smart they are. In reality it is very poorly written if the goal is to write a coherent sentence to make a point or convey information.
If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS.
“You’re not an impressive scholar, that’s what I’m saying. You’re a performance artist!”
You’re a performance artist!”

Excellent! I have to admit that I have never been a big fan of Carlson, and I stopped watching Fox several years ago, but sometimes I have been finding myself going in to watch parts of Tucker’s show when the husband is watching it on DVR in the next room. He certainly knows how to deliver some zingers.
I find the quoted sentence intelligible and well-written. The contents are pure leftist claptrap and utterly devoid of reality, but the syntax and structure themselves are fine.
Put it this way: I’ve read a lot worse academic boilerplate. Try struggling through Jurgen Habermas or Michel Foucault. It makes you want to gouge your brain out.
Watched this live, the “professor” I knew he was in trouble when he started spewing the same idiot talking points against and again...
He was quite a arrogant POS...
I wish Tucker would put a thought bubble that says “silly talking point” over their heads on the screen when these people begin their rants...
That would be awesome...
I understand how some people a hundred years ago might embrace communism. It was a rough world and this seemed to be a way out. After about the mid-1920's and certainly the mid-1930's, after it was clear what communism was about, I think anyone who has embraced communism has some serious issues. No better than a Nazi. After what we have seen since then, with mass slaughter in China and Cambodia and the gigantic loony bin of North Korea, anyone who embraces communism should be considered a pariah.
This guy claims to have a degree from the University of Cambridge - I’m calling bs on this one. We need somebody to investigate his bona fides. Anyone who claims that Google is a major source for research is an absolute fake.
Any lefty that goes on Tucker Carlson is an idiot, but then I digress...
If he were at all serious about white genocide, he’d start with himself. He hasn’t offed himself so even he doesn’t believe a word that’s fallen from his ugly mouth.
