While I admit that “free speech” pertains to a mandate against government censorship of anyone’s speech/comments/art/communications/ect, it actually does not apply, as a mandate against what any private owner can do as to how their resources are used. And YouTube is owned by a private company. So, legally, Youube can ban whomever they want.
In the case of Tommy Sotomayor, should YouTube ban him? No. They would be caving in to one faction seeking to censor another due to that faction’s own bias, and not because of anything that in any general sense,to the general public, makes Mr. Sotomayor’s communications worthy of censorship.
Ebony is trying to control appropriate public representation of “blacks” as defined by Ebony and no one else. They don’t like the fact that Mr Sotomayor is free to be Mr Sotomayor and not a “black” clone for Ebony.
