President Donald Trump expressed Friday how proud he was of his grandchildren for their performance in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan's official visit to the U.S. The president retweeted his daughter Ivanka Trump's tweet in which she had posted a video capturing her children, Arabella and Joseph Kushner's performance for the Chinese president and his wife.
Trump's grandchildren, Arabella and her brother Joseph were seen singing a Chinese folk song "Jasmine" and reciting verses from the "Three-Character Classics" as well as Tang dynasty poems to the two presidents in the video, while Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and the others listened to the children's performance.
Ivanks wrote along with her tweet "Very proud of Arabella and Joseph for their performance in honor of President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan's official visit to the US!"(continued)

Why would anyone want to teach their children to sing Chinese? Just asking...
They are learning the language. No doubt they will be fluent someday.
Well, at least they are not flashing gang signs like the retard Obamas. It might be naive civilization of the greeks to study the barbarians while the barbarians could care less about their civilization or even studying their own.
These are very traditional Chinese songs, something Mao banned while Taiwanese would sing them. A symbol
of Trump’s vision of how the One China should look like.
I would rather see China broken up like Switzerland but this shows Trump family are no commies. A liberal who
would study would make them sing the people’s song, but even that is too much asking of an education demoralized whore ... maybe she would say “cash me outside” in Chinese

Well the Trump Family sure knows how to Wow! them. They will be a big hit in China.
The Presidents family has quite a following in China, I hear. Almost as if they have been rehearsing this for a looong time.
Maybe to be able to interact with another part of the world ?

I think the relationship with the Chicoms will be historic. We will regenerate global power and security and keep Chicoms on an even keel.
Not just upper class. My neighbor's granddaughter is learning Mandarin, been studying it for a few years. They're middle class white folks, neighbor's daughter and family live in Arizona. I thought Spanish would make more sense in Arizona, but they think Mandarin Chinese is a better bet. My wife is Chinese-American, fluent with Chinese, but our granddaughter is learning Japanese (mostly due to her also learning Karate). Good to know other languages.
Slap 20% a tariff on them and be done with it.
