Nahhh - what you really need for that is two corn cobs, one dark & one light. First use the dark one and then the light one to make sure you got everything with the dark cob. If not, repeat as needed.

Grandpa said he used pages from the Sears catalog for that, so I just went to www.sears.com on my phone.
