Richard Simmons is back!
The beloved health and fitness guru, 68, is speaking directly with fans for the very first time since mysteriously vanishing from the spotlight three years ago.
Simmons, who was hospitalized on Monday for "severe indigestion," took to his personal Facebook page on Wednesday to share a hopeful message with his fans.
"Hello to everyone who has shown concern for me and sent their good wishes. You will never know how much it means to me," the reclusive diet and exercise expert wrote next to a 2014 photo of himself....

Met him on a flight years ago and he was one of the nicest most genuine celebrities I have ever met.
He has made so many positive changes in people who need someone in their life who genuinely cares.
He is a good man.

My Mom used to have one of his exercise records but it wouldn’t work on her record player. Yep, it skipped too much.

He comes across to me as a genuine humanitarian, who really does care about the unfortunate. And besides, he enjoys laughter, sometimes about himself. That makes him a rare commodity in Hollywood.
He made big changes in some peoples lives.
He reached people who had given up on themselves, told them not to give up.

When I was a teenager, we would make jokes about Richard Simmons.
Looking back at it, he was really just some really effeminate gay dude who seemed to genuinely try to help people with a weight problem.
Richard Simmons is all right in my book. He seems to have spent a lot of his life trying to help other people.
