In his final year in office Mr. Obama’s administration significantly expanded the availability of National Security Agency (NSA) intercepts of American citizens. His order spread unredacted intelligence reports across many government entities, many without a need to know, to have, or share either before or after the 2016 presidential election. The reports put in full view the names of American citizens. This may validate Maxine Waters’ claim of Obama’s secret database in 2013.
Data released this week by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) provided evidence of NSA’s collection of info on American Citizens, maintained in a searchable database. Names of American citizens were being searched and “disseminated after President Obama loosened privacy protections to make such sharing easier in 2011 in the name of national security.” Last year, intelligence reports identified Americans who had been intercepted talking to foreign sources, or who were the subject of conversations between two or more monitored, foreign figures. In the warped logic of liberal politics, if two Russians were talking about President Trump, it would be proof of a “Russian connection.”
Sometimes Americans were officially unmasked or their identities so lightly disguised they were readily discernible. The principle consumers of the unredacted reports were Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice, his CIA Director John Brennan and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Spying on political enemies is nothing new; President Johnson instructed his people to spy on Nixon during the election of 1968. President Trump’s claim that he was being spied by the Obama regime is not at all farfetched.
According to revelations released by the DNI, “government officials conducted 30,355 searches in 2016 seeking information about Americans in NSA intercept metadata, which include telephone numbers and email addresses.

So it’s ok for Demoncrats to spy on everyone? Senator Dianne Feinstein was ok with that until she found out they were spying on her committee’s computers and then it was violating her constitutional rights and someone needed to be prosecuted.
NSA’s open budget is around 10 billion. Snowden said it was around 50 billion off the books per year for surveillance and data collection in 2012, if I recall. They can’t even tell us how many work for the NSA, it is estimated between 30,000 and 40,000. The NSA is the largest employer in Maryland.

Spying on Repubs is bad enough....but Obama/Rice spying on their own party? The revelations could be earth-shaking....lots of intel on Democrats' offshore financial activities, in Tahiti, French Polynesia, the Caribbean, Central America, and the like.

I was one to buy into the War on Terror at all costs. Those who said,”be careful”, I ignored as overreacting and not as patriotic. As we stand as a country 5-6-2017 post 9-11-2001, I find that this is no way close to how things should be within our country and rest of the world. Something is terribly wrong with our government, our liberties are being assaulted and the world is far more unstable and dangerous.
That is a valid goal. So nothing wrong with the general notion. But as we all fear, there are those who are corrupt. The corruption needs to be addressed, not the valid goal.
The corruption will not be dealth with in Washington or officially; it will take extralegal patriots who capture or kill those who committed these treasonous acts. Leaving a calling card that future tratiors and currently known traitors are still targets for patriotic resistance groups - unless the full force of USG brings them to trail and detention.
The Patriot Act would be a lot more palatable if we didn’t go out of our way to find every Islamic Refugee and try to bring them into the US.

They colluded to arrange to feed Rice raw, anti-Trump material for the express purpose of distributing the CIA's anti-Trump intel through the President Daily Briefings (PDB's)...... or elsewhere.
As a bonus, Rice got to "unmask" someone.
REALITY CHECK --- The sort of things that Trump guys---Flynn and Manafort---- seemed to be involved in were not at the PDB level.
This was all an arranged game in which Rice colluded to strengthen the Democrats attack against Trump for dear, old Hillary......thereby pumping Rice's bona fides to become Hillary's Secy of State.

How could a low-level sycophant like Susan Rice be considered Secretary of State material? Her sole qualifications are Clinton and Obama hack and confidant.

Actually her only qualifications are her skin color and her female equipment.
American desperately needs to get back to the meritocracy....be a place where qualifications for promotions and top positions are based solely on performance.
These people are radicals, and lawless. They only took their time because of laws, but soon circumvented those.
Hillary would have been obligated and black mailed to do at least the same and much worse.
