It would not surprise me if that were part of the plan. But, it is doubtful they had any in the village, and maybe not even in Wamena. The area is still a very remote, primative place.

Been there, done that. Sigh. I worked in rural Africa 30 years ago, and in the rural US until I retired.

But it is in God's hands.

I got sick because I never took any days off, but then the head sister ordered me to take off...and when I objected, she pointed out God knew I wasn't there, so if someone was sick, and had to be transferred our, it was His fault...

you know in those 3 years, we would have emergencies arrive 5 minutes before I left, or 5 minutes after I came back...
