I definitely don’t consider myself a tin foil hatter - but I think its completely plausible that the vector’s origination for the *breakout* (they may not have completely bioengineered it — and it quite well could have been an accidental release) was plum island.
Yes, I agree it is possible. But any serious article needs facts - not building scenarios on pure conjecture. That's why I felt the form and style of this article was exactly the same as this "Trump-Putin-Russia" nonsense. Sadly, its now America's main-stream media like WaPo and NY Times engaging in this.
What were these labs actually working on? Are there reliable documents available that support his case? Can the author get quotes from real people, who will go on record, and who are in a position to know? Is there any provable science behind it? Can they cite research done by others?
