It is with optimism and hopeful anticipation that I head out to a meeting President Trump is hosting Thursday for religious leaders. There is a reason for my optimism. Although he doesn't get credit for it, Trump is far more religious than many people realize.
In my conversations with pastors who have personally ministered to him, I have been made aware that he's extraordinarily open to the word of God, to the power of prayer, and to growing in the life of the spirit. In other words, he is tuned into the Lord's movement in his life. This is great news. An open heart and mind and a teachable spirit are vital characteristics for good leadership.
Recently, Trump made his first international trip, and it had the feel of a religious pilgrimage. It brought him to three major religious centers of the world. He visited Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem and Vatican City in Rome. In meeting with the leaders of the Abrahamic religions, Trump was sending a clear message to the world that he was on a mission of peace. The fact that he chose these explicitly religious places shows his conviction that for peace to prevail, it is not enough that political leaders or military leaders do their duty to work towards it.....

America is based on its Constitution. Follow it and all is well.
Never allow any religious edicts, or anything related to islam and it’s all good. No freeloader crap either.
Intelligent Americans know how to keep America Beautiful.
God’s hand is on him, and I think that has been made known to him, and he recognizes it. It was a miracle that he was elected, and I think he knows it. I also think he did not realize what a hard, heavy job the presidency is, until he was in the midst of it. I imagine most presidents are struck by the weight of the responsibility. Although, I must say, although Obama recognized the power of the presidency, I don’t think he ever felt the weight of it; he was too flippant and narcissistic to realize it was not all about him, but all about the responsibility to the constitution and all of us.
He has been chosen. We need to support him.
He has grown enormously in the last 6 months.
God is with him.
I’ll never forget the feeling I had when I saw live bishop Jackson anioting him and giving him that prayer shawl. I believe it was sacramental . Black bishop kings white knight is what said then. I always thought he would win it was that moment I knew it for sure. Easy to say now but I posted on here when it happened.
God has truly blessed America! May we prove worthy.
President Trump may not be a perfect human being, but I would definitely agree that the office has sobered him and he has grown as a person, a leader, and a statesman, and that he has come to realize his responsibility to God and to America.
....This is why I am looking forward to this meeting with Trump, with whom I have had the privilege to converse with twice before.
In him, we undoubtedly have a man who acknowledges God like our Founding Fathers did. This is the foundation for creating good and just policies....
Amen.
Thanks and praises.
I'd also note that the author of this article is Fr. Frank Pavone, who is the national director of Priests for Life.
With friends like these, enemies of President Trump...BEWARE!

” although Obama recognized the power of the presidency, I dont think he ever felt the weight of it; he was too flippant and narcissistic to realize it was not all about him”
We have the same problem in South Africa.
I’m afraid I haven’t kept up with South African politics. I hope you’re not in danger of losing all.
And, amen!
(The meeting was back in January. Before Inauguration.)
Thanks Jane!
I was actually hoping it was another meeting today.....and how fitting it would be to have them there surrounding him with prayer.
God has this man and He will keep watch over him.....-
and we all can cover him in prayer.
bump
AMEN
That’s what the left wing media claims. Yet another spurious charge. It’s amazing how people on both sides forgot the primary completely.
