I grew up on New Wave and Punk. 70's rock was so self-righteous, repetitive, and wanky.
Yes, I know, lots of punk is vile, but there is an authenticity to it that cuts through all the crap in the music business, especially the Casey-Casem-Dick-Clark-Ryan-Seacrest-pushed pablum.
