A young Greek boy awaiting a heart transplant had his wish come true shortly after being visited by First Lady Melania Trump.
The first lady visited the boy at a pediatric hospital in Rome on May 24, after she and her husband, President Donald Trump met with Pope Francis at the Vatican, reports CNN.
"Upon landing in Belgium, I learned a young boy and his family who had been waiting for a heart transplant was informed that the hospital has found a donor," the first lady said in a statement. "I read a book and held hands with this special little one just a few hours ago, and now my own heart is filled with joy over this news."
She later tweeted: "A little boy who I visited today & had been waiting for a heart transplant will be receiving one! #Blessings #Faith."
"The hospital was struck by the timing of it all," said East Wing Communications Director Stephanie Grisham to CNN.
According to Grisham, Mrs. Trump personally wrote a letter to Pope Francis requesting a visit to Bambino Gesu, which is the largest pediatric hospital and research center in Europe.
Known as the "hospital of the Pope," it is "based on the moral and ethical principles of the Catholic faith," according to the official website.
"Our hospital was established in 1869 through an act of love by a family that was aware of the needs of less fortunate children -- the Salviati family," the site continues. "The project, which started as a room with four beds, has, over the years and thanks to the efforts of thousands of staff members, reached the point where today our hospital which is owned by the Holy See, is a work dear to the heart of the Holy Father."(continued)

Love your tag line. Dad was in Japan and met a man whom he asked why they didn’t invade the US after Pearl Harbor. Dad was informed that the Japanese were afraid that they would lose too many men as Americans are allowed to own guns. I think that was what the forefathers of the constitution had in mind with the second amendment.
They may want to rethink their business model...
That may have been part of it. The founding fathers were also afraid of a tyrant seizing power.

After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, there was a symposium of military officers from a number of countries which was held in Europe.
During a break in the conference, a group of military officers were gathered in an informal circle, chatting and enjoying some food and drink.
One of the American officers asked his Russian counterpart, “Tell me, during the Cold War, did the Soviet Union ever consider invading the United States?”
The Russian officer laughed and said, “Oh no! You people have too many guns over there!”
