Pilsen is predominantly Hispanic, but years ago it once was predominantly white
Used to be Bohemian/Czech/Polish, then it became Mexican, now it’s becoming the next hot Yuppieville, which is quite a sore subject in the area. It’s also in close proximity to the UIC campus...which contributes both pinhead protestors such as depicted here, and “gentrifying” college students moving into the neighborhood.
