In an effort to keep the estimated 13 million gun owners in California supplied with a state-compliant MSR, FN on Monday announced two new FN-15 rifles.

The models, the FN 15 Tactical Carbine II CA and FN 15 DMR II CA, both use Hera CQR “featureless” stocks and 10-round Magpul PMAGs in a nod to the state’s new laws on so-called “assault weapons.”

“Many of California’s pro-gun residents have had very limited options in terms of what they could purchase because of the state-imposed regulations on firearms,” said John Keppeler, vice president of sales and marketing for FN America, in a statement. “FN saw California’s market as an opportunity to expand the FN 15 line.”

Both guns use a hard-anodized aluminum flat-top receiver, M1913 top rail, and M-LOK handguards. Each come standard with a Surefire ProComp 556 muzzle brake.

The Tactical model uses a 16-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined free-floating barrel with a mid length gas system and what FN bills as their “Combat Trigger.”

Yup, the pistol grip is illegal, so is the quick release mag button.

We left California seven years ago and we don’t miss the stupid gun laws, the stupid emissions laws, the legions of taxes, the out of control law enforcement, conflicting regulations, angry black people, dangerous illegal aliens, ugly lesbians, feminized emasculated men, anti-Christian schools, and aggressively activist and degenerate perverts in government.

Get out now before they secede and your home, business, guns, and vehicles get seized by the socialist nanny state.

That’s the idea. A pistol grip you can wrap your thumb around makes any semi-automatic centerfire rifle an “assault rifle” in CA. I mean, who but the most hardened criminals wants to be able to properly hold onto his firearm? Don’t even think about making it a thumbhole stock because that’s illegal, too.

Yeah, but it’s pretty damned petty to piss over the rails of the lifeboat, you know.

So if they decide that we need to put pink ribbons and bows on them, we just... comply... right?

Negative.

Our ancestors would spit on us for EVER giving in.

Oh, it’s long past time to erect gallows in front of Sacramento’s capital building and march these tyrants up the stairs.

What a stupid handle. Looks very hard to hold onto and control. Why not just a standard rifle stock?

I lived in California for 3 years. You have my sincere condolences.

Most of the "more native" Californians I met (as opposed to recent immigrants like myself) and worked with while living there were über-liberal-moonbat, total wastes of otherwise perfectly usable oxygen. So sad.

To be fair, the women almost made up for the populace as a whole, as California girls are unique in the world for their permissive enthusiasm and libidinous competitiveness.

Yum!

Yeah, find and F-in dandy,

Some of us have family and work obligations that come before bugging out.

A-holes who say ‘screw California, you deserve what you get if you live there’ are jerks who deserve to have every weirdo in Berkeley move to their city and mate with their children for all I care.

Useless NRA has abandoned us and I guess even so-called Freepers have a ‘screw you’ attitude towards their fellow Americans; makes me ashamed.

Sorry, all I know is that our lives improved remarkably when the ‘Leaving California’ sign disappeared in the rear view mirror.

You're awfully upset about a comment that basically supported the average citizen if I read it right...

If FN were smart, they would NOT sell ANYTHING to CA unless the citizens can get the same.

If you mean it as “to the *government* of CA” then yeah, although that would be dreaming since any firearms company will anything they can to the cops here but I’d be happy with that .... if you mean it as “don’t sell anything to anyone/anywhere in CA then that’s pretty cold’.

Some of us have to stay here, the support of our ostensible fellow patriots would be useful.

You read it right. No sales to CA from my little FFL shop unless the citizens can get it. Kern Co. Sheriff called for some of my suppressors and I said, NOPE. Not until CA citizens can have them. Then they asked for threaded barrels. I said. Nope. What about magazine parts? Nope. No sales to CA until you get your crap together. Nothing. CA wanted taxes from my PCS in CA for a DLI course at Monterrey, CA. I was there for less time than it is to establish residency, vote, own property, etc. Finally the outrage of CA going after veterans caused them to quit asking.

Nope. I see how CA deals with citizens, veterans, and gunowners. My inlaws have left, my clients have left for AZ, NV, ID, AR, TX, FL, CO, WY, and IN. All republican gun owners.

If you still live in CA and are pro RKBA you are in enemy territory. Get out. No more excuses. We need you elsewhere.

Id be happy to sell to you but you live in CA. I ain't dealing with your government. Sorry. Get out while you can. I've been married to CA family for 10 years. 18 of them are out. 6 are left and plan on leaving. 2 are staying as desert rats in Temecula to smoke dope. 2 are waiting for their kids to finish HS. Everyone else has popped smoke.

When they ask me for gun favors, I say NOPE. Not committing a CA felony or violate NFA/GCA for anyone, not even family...
