Just got a call from RNC Headquarters (202)795-3626.A pleasant sounding woman asked if it was me...I said yes. When she got two words into her routine I interrupted her and said "listen, until the Party stops the foolishness and gets behind the President and his proposals I have nothing for you".At that point she said "yes, and that's why we're kicking off our 2018..." at which point I interrupted again and said "well,I'll just wait to see what happens in '18.I have nothing for you at this time. Please pass that along".
She sheepishly thanked me and...call ended.
That used to be the case. But several years ago, USPS changed the rules and now is authorized to not deliver and charge for obvious bulky objects that are designed to run up charges.
For reference, see US Postal Service Domestic Mail Manual.
(My advice is to put the brick in a free Priority Mail box with padding around it. Then carefully apply the Business Reply envelope to the top. Just be aware that if it is over four ounces, you have to present it at a window, no matter class of mail!)
We don’t answer the phone for anyone but friends, family, doctors, etc. That being said, almost every week, something comes in the mail from the RNC .... surveys, etc. My mom fills them out & writes a very large message to include in the envelope: NO MONEY until the Repubs keep their promises and get behind Trump. I’m sure this is the response the RNC is getting a good percentage of the time - you’d think eventually they’d get the message & quit wasting time/postage. It’s obvious the large donors/lobbyists are getting the Repubs actual time/attention & legislative action when the bums are in DC, not the “little donors” like ‘We the People’.
Good!
I think the Uniparty is in for a big shock this time around. Many people are on to them.
I am stealing that one.
It someone calls and says, “Is this (you),” never say “yes.” If you do, they now have your recorded voice authorizing them to drain your life savings from your bank account. Better to say, “Who are you and what do you want?” But never, under any circumstances, say the word yes over the phone.
The Romney niece who is heading the RNC now seems to have the committee behind Trump very nicely. They are working directly with the White House on many issues.
The problem is the RNC raises money for incumbents who are actively against Trump, but only because they are required to do so in order to defend our numbers in Congress and our representation, particularly our majority.
We don’t give money to the RNC either, since they let Newt swing in the 90s. But it is a new day. I do dread Democrats coming even with us, or into a majority on the hill. Our habit is to give directly to campaigns.
“I dont know if I hate the democrats or republicans more.”
Normally people hate their traitors more than their enemies.
” A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” - Cicero
"NOT ONE PENNY MORE UNTIL YOU REPEAL OBAMAcARE!"
Haven't heard from them since.
You can actually put a brick in a box, tape the postage paid envelope to it and mail it to them. They get charged for the weight of the brick. A mail clerk told me that.
A solid brick weighs more.
I wrote back saying I would not contribute a penny that helped Jake Flake. (He is in trouble) My reply [I removed the names for privacy]:
"The great majority of us in [name of county] County do not like Flake, he was invited a long time ago and finally just confirmed he could attend. He is desperate, but we will be polite. He will not get any of the fundraising money because the [Republican Group] cannot support Federal candidates. Money will go to State and County candidates.
MAGA back to you, [name of volunteer]."

Don’t ever say the word “yes” to any caller. That is what our police chief said when giving a presentation to our hospital auxiliary group the other day regarding scams. We have had several elderly people bilked out of thousands of dollars. I am hanging on to my land-line and answering machine/caller ID. I was late in the game getting the caller ID/answering machine. . . but I am sure glad I did. If I don’t recognize the number and a message is not left then I say to the phone, “If you think I am going to answer you, forget it!”
Someone said the same thing earlier.Ordinarily I don't answer numbers I don't recognize but I assumed that area code 202 was the RNC...which it was.
Screw the eGOP!!! They are fighting Trump as the uniparty they are.
I will not be voting for another one of their uniparty candidates again. Trump was it.
I've mailed plenty of packages heavier than that via the kiosk at the post office. Nothing ever told me I had to take it to the counter and hand it to them. They all got delivered.
13 ounces is the max at an unsupervised kiosk while using stamps.
This just happened to a coworker.
Nice, but you are a lot more patient than I would have been. I would have been screaming at the top of my lipungs...”WTH is the matter with you people?! We give you the House, the Senate AND the Presidency! You’ve had eight long years to prepare for the day when you controlled it all and could enact your agenda! Instead, we got squat out of you. The GOP is a bunch of uniparty hacks, no better than Dems. Get into the fight and win. Only then call me back.”
Hope their successful.
