I read, years ago, that goat milk is closest in composition to human milk of all animals, which is why it’s so easy for us to digest.
Goats are relatively disease resistant and can eat about anything.
And they are a manageable size.
A face any muhamedan male would love!
I did, three times and till don’t know the breeds.
The chick has never heard of pigskin leather? The skin isn't just used for eating.
“Goats are relatively disease resistant and can eat about anything.”
That statement is not true. Goats get and do die from worms, it’s a real problem in late spring early summer until the heat comes on. They don’t eat everything.
They mostly eat tree browse and vines, briars. They graze on grass, mostly prefer the weeds. You can always feed pellets, and they will eat all you offer!!
When picking a goat love slave a muslim must pick on that is the right height otherwise a stool for them self or a goat may be required.....
Oohhh!
Baby!
I have 5 nubian. STUBBORN.
Though I'll never own goats, interesting.
Those cartoons about goats eating anything are bogus.
I have raised fainting goats. They are fun and easy to raise.
Me too. I did find this:
12 popular goat breeds
http://www.livingthecountrylife.com/animals/livestock/12-popular-goat-breeds/
And, by the way, you use different breeds of goats for the various purposes.
For dairy, you might want a Nubian, Alpine, or Sable
For meat, perhaps a Boer
And, of course, for wool, Cashmere and Angora.
For pets, you might consider fainting goats or one of the pygmy breeds.
The goats I know will eat stuff humans have touched.
May be how they are raised.
No. The first thing you need to know is more comes out the back end than goes in the front end and it stinks.
We raised registered Saanen dairy goats for over 20 years. Our last one went 4 years ago. Lots of work. We made good use of the milk and made much of it, kefir, yogurt, all kinds of cheeses, ice cream. I was also the goat superintendent at our county fair for many years. IMO the swiss breeds are the best. Nice dispositons and easy to handle. Stay away from Nubians (loud and unmanageable). Pygmy goats the most worthless.
“Goats are browsers, not grazers. And they flat out won’t eat anything you, a human, has touched”
I wish you would come train my 20 boar cross goats not to graze or eat from my hand, they must be defective.
Wisconsin leads nation in dairy goats, farms

Yeah you are so right. Goats are susceptible to worms that can quickly kill them. And its not true that they eat about everything. They are somewhat like deer in their diet. They like to browse head high. They will eat poison ivy, But they especially like to eat your fruit trees so watch out !! So I agree with you about goats. And get the small ones you can easily pick up and move to another browsing area. And they are so cute and easier to take to vet to get wormed.
