There is no talking sense to the Left. It’s gone beyond the point of talking anymore. This is war.

Keep in mind that some of our best Conservatives are ex-Left. (Think David Horowitz.) It's always worthwhile to keep talking to the more reasonable prospects, even if they are wearing the wrong hats and buttons.

"The Left" is not a monolithic thing. Don't forget that 8% of black voters, 29% of Hispanics, and and over 40% of the white working class in the (big D) rust belt/ snow belt states, most of them registered Democrats, and many of them former Obama voters, voted for Trump.
